Job Summary:

To assist students in registrations/petitions, facilitate accurate course scheduling, and assist the SPS registrar's office in maintaining accurate student records.

Specific Responsibilities:

Registration Processes

* Process all registration requests.

* Process all change of program requests.

* Resolve student registration problems, concerns, and questions.

* Maintain the online Registration Process and Net ID.

* Maintain the NetID database.

* Retrieve NetID activation codes.

Customer Service

* Answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

* Greet constituents entering and calling the registration office with a service- oriented attitude and address inquiries with service excellence.

* Construct and respond to email communications in a professional manner with strong writing skills.

* Follow up on inquiries in a timely fashion, having done the necessary and sufficient research to bring issues to closure.

* Recognize issues that have the potential to escalate and handle with keen business acumen.

* Front desk coverage.

Course Deck

* Support term by term course scheduling.

* Build Course Equivalencies.

* Maintain Course Pre-Requisites and Co-Requisites for the term-by-term registration schedule.

Miscellaneous

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma

* 1-3 years previous work experience with student records, including transcripts

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)

* Strong time and project management skills

* Ability to consistently and accurately maintain a variety of record keeping requirements

* Team oriented and commitment proactive problem solving

* Ability to work independently

* Ability to utilize a variety of computer programs and databases

* Evidence of commitment and ability to provide consistent and high quality customer service

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree

* 3-5 years of previous work experience with student records, including transcripts

* Previous work experience with student information databases

* Previous work experience in a higher education institution.

Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)

* Knowledge of SES or related student information system

* Ability to effectively work with detailed projects and information

Target hiring range for this position will be between $20.00 to $22.25 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
